At Lilac Sky Schools, we are passionate about language learning. Our language specialists have a wealth of experience in teaching languages across all Key Stages. We are committed to teaching languages in a way that is fun, purposeful and engaging for everyone.

What can Lilac Sky Schools offer?

  • Free Language Celebration Assemblies
    To give you a taster of what Lilac Sky Schools can offer we are happy to visit your school and deliver a FREE language celebration assembly to help promote language learning in your school. Watch a video of one of our recent Language Assemblies.
  • International Days

  • Primary Language Support
    Ongoing consultancy support and guidance. This typically involves auditing your current language provision, resource and lesson planning sessions with your MFL co-ordinator, team teaching language lessons and staff training. This can be arranged to suit your needs, for example we could visit on a weekly, fortnightly or half-termly basis.
  • Staff training
    We can offer training in the following areas:
    • Upskilling: to help teachers gain confidence in using (and improving their use of) target language in the classroom
    • Developing Language Learning in your school: Integrating languages into the whole school curriculum and embedding languages into everyday school life
    • Teaching Primary MFL Innovatively: Exciting ideas to make your language lessons more inspiring
    • French or Spanish lessons
      We are offering a series of 10 sessions per term (morning or afternoon) to deliver French and/or Spanish lessons at Key Stage 1/2 by one of our language specialists. Timetabled language lessons of normally 30-45 minutes for all Key Stage 2 classes. Key Stage 1 classes would be subject to your requirements.  
  • PPA cover
    We can deliver your foreign language lessons during your teachers’ PPA time.
  • Specialist language cover
    If your language teacher is absent for any reason we would be happy to provide tailor-made language cover for a one off lesson or series of lessons.
